Life is rough, and each day that goes by it feels like time moves faster and faster. Whether you’re a working mama or a stay at home mama the responsibilities of life pile on real quick. Today I wanted to remind us (myself included) on how important it is for us to take care of ourselves. For the longest time I felt so guilty in wanting to have some alone time (that was before kids). Now, I crave some alone time, a chance to get a bath and read a book or just sit and relax and not have do so a single. thing.
When we first started building our house I had to have a whirlpool in our master, and I think in the last 3 years I have used it maybe 20 times. What a shame huh? With the holiday season quickly approaching and the cold winter days I can’t stress on how important it is for us to just stop. I have noticed that when I get to have that me time I become a better wife and mom. I’m less irritable and crabby and in return everything just runs smooth.
This Fall my must have for my me time is the St. Ives Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion and Wash. As of lately I use the wash and run me a warm bath with a few drops of lavender oil and relax with classical music, and a glass of wine. I then follow with my St. Ives Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion.
Thanks to St. Ives my skin has never felt smoother and refreshing. I love how the lotion seeps right into my skin. I’m also thankful that I don’t have to worry about dry flaky skin as the temperature drops because my skin is moisturized. Not to mention the St. Ives Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion and Wash smells like heaven on earth. No joke!
St. Ives has nothing but the good stuff in the ingredients. It’s 100% natural moisturizer, paraben free, dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic. Their unique formula also contains pear extract & soy, which is full of vitamins and nutrient-rich proteins. So you don’t have to worry about the harmful ingredients and about what you’re putting on your skin.
Promise me mama, that as your holiday season gets busier, to pause and take care of yourself. Once a week do something for YOU (and only you!) that includes no cleaning, working, or running errands! Because in the end, happy mama, happy life.
