This is by far my favorite time of the year. Not because of holiday outfit(s) or, because of the cold weather- although I do enjoy both very much and really enjoy a fun holiday outfit- hello sparkle!! I just love how the holiday always brings out the best in people. Everyone is in a good mood (well, almost everyone) and jolly. My love language is gifts (now you know- no excuses!) so this is really my favorite time of the year. We, humans, tend to gift others our own love language, so when it comes to Christmas I always get in trouble by my husband who tells me I need to slow it down like 10 notches on the gift-giving. This year I think I have rubbed off on him because he’s given more then I have!
I also love being outside this time of the year to enjoy the pretty lights and all the pretty Christmas trees! I love strolling around with the boys (who are also fascinated by the lights) and just taking in the spirit of Christmas and the beauty of it all! I only wish that it wasn’t 80 degrees right now, I always save my peppermint white mocha for this time of the year, and every time I order it just doesn’t feel right because it’s dang hot and muggy here!
I’ve been on the hunt for a lot of things and a sweater dress has been on the top of my list! Bonus points for this one being a turtle neck! I really appreciate how the material is soft and not itchy- I can’t stand itchy sweaters, they give my the hibigibbies (is that even spelled right?! haha!) I really like how the yellow scarf pops with the black dress. I choose to tie the scarf and let it hang loose versus wrapping it around because I didn’t want my look to be too bulky up top. BTW- this scarf is only $21! Run don’t walk to Oasis!!
