I wouldn’t say Houston is a rainy city, but there are rainy seasons. Those seasons are also not very consistent, but the one thing that does happen every. rainy. day is me standing in my closet wondering what in the world to wear. Anyone else?
I know I can not be the only woman out there that faces this “struggle.” And, by no means do I believe have I solved the crisis (I’m dramatic, I know?). But I do think this rainy day outfit may work for just about any woman out there.
I kept thinking about what would be an easy outfit across the board. Something casual, cute, that even my mamas could wear. What does every woman already have in her closet (or different variations of) and make this look her own?
We all have a white top (of some sort), and we all have jeans. A rainy day outfit like this can be mixed up by wearing skinny jeans, or high waisted jeans. You can wear a white tee, button-down, or even a chunky sweater. But the base of the look remains the same- get it?
Two things I think you should have in your closet if you don’t already; rain boots, and a trench coat.
I’m not a huge fan of Hunter rain boots, especially the tall boots. I do like their short, and Chelsea boots. But my favorite rain boot is the Paxton rain boot from Bernardo (comes in different colors too). I love the added bow that makes an everyday boot just a bit more feminine.
Again, if you do not have a trench coat, you should get one (see this post here). This trench coat I bought over five years ago, and it still is in excellent condition. With proper care, it will last you years! Invest now, and your CPW (cost per wear) will be worth it, pinky promise!
What do you think? Is this a rainy day outfit you could wear? Comment below what you think! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
