Back To School In Style with Abercrombie Kids

Cue the tears, and I mean the ugly tears. My kids, MY JB and CB are starting school in less than a week. Why does this day just creep up on you like that? On the flip side, I can’t say I’m not excited to send them off. Today I am teaming up with Abercrombie Kids and talking about why I think it’s important to send off your kids in style.

Style is subjective and I know it sounds silly to care about your kid’s hair and what they wear for school. And I know that of course we all have our days of running late, and you’re just trying not to miss that tardy bell.

I have always made a point to do the boys hair and to have them matching when we leave the house. It’s not because I am worried about the outer appearance, and what people will think or say (because believe me, I have also left the house with all three in their PJ’s, myself included)!

But, I think it sets a precedent to teach my boys to take care of themselves, to brush their teeth, wash their face, and to fix that bedhead. And now, years later on my lazy days, they WANT me to fix their hair, wear cologne, and to look nice.

Hear me out, I absolutely agree 100% that it’s not what’s on the outside that matters, but it’s what’s on the inside. Teaching my kids to look presentable, and to brush their teeth will matter. In the long run, it will teach them to love themselves and to care for their bodies. THAT is the message I am trying to teach them.

I used to loooooove (BIG emphasis on love) wearing Abercrombie Kids when I went to school. Man, I would BEG my mom every weekend to take me shopping.
