4 Resolutions For Your Marriage

Having resolutions for your marriage can be tough. Working together with another human being that is entirely different than you can be challenging to say the least.

You both have different needs, different wants, and your love language is probably completely different. For example, my love languages are gifts and act of service; Jordan's love languages are touch and quality time.

Sitting down and reflecting on our marriage, the things you need to work on and the things that need to be done differently is not an easy task.
BUT, having resolutions for your marriage is SUCH an important thing. It's something you can both agree on, and something you can both work towards TOGETHER. A good marriage involves work.

Change can be uncomfortable, but change also allows the opportunity for growth. Growth in your marriage is a sweet, sweet thing. Growth brings wisdom, maturity, and understanding.
Today I wanted to share Jordan's and I 2018 marriage resolutions. I hope that we can inspire you to do better and be better in your marriage, together!
- Workout together. We love to get competitive! Working out together always brings that out in us. We see who can do the most reps, or who can hold a position the longest. I always lose, but hey, at least I try. Ha!
- Have quiet time together every night. We have been going through the She Reads Truth, and He reads Truth study books together. They don't take a long time (about 15 minutes every night). But it's time we can dive into God's word and learn together.
- No phones during bedtime. This is something we have to work on. But we both have decided that phones during bedtime sucks the time away from each other. It steals the romance and keeps us distracted. We don't need any more distractions then what we already have.
- Take dance lessons. Jordan and I have been wanting to take something on that we can learn together! We both have always loved dancing (even though we are not great at it). What better way to get steamy by learning some salsa together. If you're not into dancing, you can try cooking classes or even pottery classes!

I pray and hope 2018 is great for you, not only in your marriage but all areas of your life. I pray that 2018 will be a year of explosive blessings.

Remeber, change and reflection can be uncomfortable, but it's necessary.
