All Boy Mom + Carter’s Sale

Having two boys as I said was interesting, but having three… it’s almost as if your world gets thrown upside down. I thought I had this boy mom thing down, then Liam came along and well, let’s say sometimes I feel like I am back to square one.

Here is how things have changed for us:

We went from man to man coverage, to zone defense. We are outnumbered, always. It’s an adjustment and a learning curve. Doing things like bath time, meal time, or even getting everyone in the car is quite the workout. You learn to multitask and juggle different situations like nobody’s business.

Teamwork makes the dream work or something like that. Jordan and I have learned that we need each other. BUT this biggest thing is I think we now expect more out of Jadyn and Colin. Things that I probably wouldn’t have asked Jadyn or Colin to do before, I now ask them to do. I have them help a lot more with chores around the house (like clean up toys, make their bed, take the trash out). We are all about teamwork around the house. Everyone helps clean up after dinner and to makes sure the house stays tidy.

I have become a lot more resourceful. Case in point- I now order my groceries and have it delivered (#notsorry). I also use a meal service to deliver dinner for the week. I probably wouldn’t be doing this with two kids. But Lord knows I am not setting foot inside a grocery store with three kids.

I would rather spend time doing things I know that only I can do, like being there for my kids and playing with them.

Lastly, I’ve learned to shop smarter. 75% of the time I shop online, or I’m shopping sales. Because hello, I have three kids to dress, and it ain’t cheap.
