Flashback to the 90’s. That is where we are in today’s fashion. Everything you see now is safe to say was a massive hit in the 90’s. So today I’m throwing it back with this crushed velvet top and making it appropriate for the 20th century.
Flash back to the 90’s. That is where we are in today’s fashion. Everything you see now is safe to say was a massive hit in the 90’s. So today I’m throwing it back with this crushed velvet top and making it appropriate for the 20th century.
I’ll be the first to admit I love the 90’s. I’m a 90’s kid and everything from music to fashion, I love it all. Chokers, bell bottoms, crop tops, velvet. GIVE ME ALL OF IT. Ha, just kidding. Kinda!
I love this crushed velvet top (that is currently on sale for under $20!) I also love the lace details, which makes the top feminine and chic.
So what is the difference between crushed velvet and velvet? Well if you look really close, the velvet, in fact, has a “crushed” appearance. Almost as if it’s wrinkled. That’s really the only difference.
If you love this trend but not sure you can dive head on, I would suggest sticking to a small item, like this crushed velvet top, shoes, or maybe even a bag. I’ll admit, I probably wouldn’t be one to wear a full velvet dress, but opting for something smaller (and not a whole look) will make you feel like you are on trend but not going overboard. Ya feel me?
Can we talk about this bag?! I am LOVING the dark florals for Fall/Winter. This is my new favorite bag!

thank you!!
I love velvet! So far I’ve only seen the material worked into pants and dresses, but I love it as a top as well. Can’t wait to wear it more for fall!
