Deborah Lippmann reviewDeborah Lippmann 5- Piece set / Angled Definer Brush / Essie Summer Pret-a-Surfer

I have been meaning to do this Deborah Lippmann review, so without further due.. lets dive in shall we?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much do I love it? I would say an 8. Only reason why I wouldn’t give it a 10 is because it doesn’t really make the color of my nail polish last any longer. womp womp. I still have yet to find something that REALLY lasts, and by “really lasts” I mean lasts longer then 4 days.

So what does the set include?

Cuticle remover
Fast Girls quick dry base coat
2 Second nail primer
Addicted to Speed ultra quick dry top coat
Cuticle oil

What are the pro’s?
The cuticle remover does a really great job removing the cuticle without having to do a lot of work. All you need to do is brush on the remover and get a hand scrub (this one is a good one) and your good to go. I however,  still push back my cuticle and remove it all the way around my nail bed.
The quick dry base coats really do dry fast. Like within seconds fast.
Using the base coats does make the color go on so smoother and looks the color looks even.
The top coat leaves a brilliant shine, and also you are good to go with dry nails within minutes.
I love using the cuticle oil last to nourish my nails and I also like the smell of it! Bonus tip: use the cuticle oil at night (before bed) for great looking nails!

What are the con’s?
Not much to say here other than, I really wish it would make my color last longer. It would also be nice  to have a larger size brush. It’s a little hard working with such small brushes. But other than that I really have enjoyed adding this to my nail care routine.

Below you will see my before and after pictures. Please excuse my ugly before picture, My nails had gone through some extensive house cleaning!

What a difference right?! I love this new color from Essie Summer Collection. My biggest tip also for an at home manicure is to get your self a tool to clean up the little mistakes and mess ups around your nail. I use an angled (old) eyeliner brush. It works wonders and always looks fresh and clean!
