A New Year, a new me. It’s been six months since I have had Liam and I finally feel like I can really get back into working out and get my butt into shape. I know a lot of you have asked for me to share my fitness journey, so here I am!

I want first to say that, yes, I know I am skinny. But just because I’m “skinny” doesn’t mean I don’t have my insecurities or struggle with how I look. I am human, and I am not perfect. By sharing my fitness journey, I also don’t want to discourage you or make you feel like you have to look a certain way to be pretty.

Please, hear me LOUD AND CLEAR. DO NOT compare yourself to me. My goal in sharing this is to motivate you and empower you to be the BEST YOU. Not to be me.

We are all beautiful. No matter what the number on the scale says. You are strong, beautiful, and fearfully made. DO not let society or anyone else tell you otherwise.

I am not aiming to lose weight; I just want to be fit. I want to be strong; I want to push my body to do things I could never think of. I want to be able to do push ups and pull ups. I want to keep up with my kids. I want to have energy.

So here I am. I weigh 117.5 lbs. I am 5’3, and it’s been a long time since I have consistently worked out.

I’ve started doing the PWR workout with Jordan from Kayla Itsines. It has been kicking my butt. After every workout, I crash and I mean crash hard. Like total wipe-out. But man, it has felt SO good. I’ve also been sleeping better too!

As far as eating wise, I am cutting back on wine to 2x a week, and doing my best to cut back on the bad carbs and sugar. I have also been really paying attention to portions and not overeating. My biggest problem is I eat until I’m stuffed, and well that’s not how you’re supposed to eat.

I’m still in the process of trying to find what works best for us a family on meal prep and grocery shopping. So far we have been trying HelloFresh (I’ll be doing a review on that soon). But I’m not 100% sold on what we are doing.

If you want to join a group for accountability, join my Muscles and Mascara Facebook group. We are all on the get fit journey and striving to be the best us! You’ll love the group, pinky promise!
