I am soooooo excited to bring you this full body workout post.
Let me first start off with a bit of history. I was never the athletic one, and when Jordan and I got married we would work out together but it was always….bleh for me.
After having both kids back to back I was really unhappy with how it took a toll on my body. I also knew I didn’t want to stay where I was at. Although I knew my husband thought I was beautiful no matter what size or shape I was, I also knew I wanted to look good naked again. My body is his body, his body is my body. I am a firm believer that you both have to work at looking good for each other… (but that’s a whole blog post in itself).
So as I mentioned above, I had two boys back to back and as soon as I was given the clearance to workout, I hustled. Working out 6 times per week and even doubling up on a few of those days. It has been an incredible journey. To do things I was never able to do, to see the progression, and to FINALLY beat my husband in pull-ups and push-ups (we get very competitive) has been amazing for me.
Now, I am not perfect and nor am I a VS model but I am still very proud of my journey. I just need to find a way to cut back on sweets… that’s my weakness.
Today I have teamed up with Terry A.K.A Terry the trainer here in Houston to share with you this awesome full body workout tutorial. Terry along with his wife Ashley (who are expecting their first baby… YAYY!!) have successfully, and are killing it if you ask me, in opening two Elite training facilities here in Houston, TX. The League is a unique gym experience with a one-of-a-kind conditioning format that combines athletic movements in creative ways, fully scalable to suit all levels of ability.

So I teamed up with Terry to show you a 30 minute full body workout anybody can do not only at the gym, but at home as well. Here we used a medicine ball, but like we mention in the video, use what you got! Get creative and most importantly HAVE FUN!
Here are a few things to remember for this full body workout, whether this is your first time, or you’re a new mom getting back in the groove of things:
- Listen to your body. Yes do push yourself, but know when to stop. This goes especially for you new moms getting back into the swing of things.
- This is a journey, you will only see results if you get up and MOVE. Results also are not over night. This takes work, dedication, and commitment. How bad do YOU want it?
- Watch your form! Don’t compromise your form by adding too much weight or going too fast. This isn’t a race, and it’s okay to take things slow.
- Last but not least, have fun and enjoy the journey!
