A girl’s best friend is not only diamonds, nor dry shampoo, but a good hair texture spray as well. Today I wanted to share my absolute favorite hair texture sprays, and why I love them. Now, these are luxury brands but, don’t worry I am currently trying out drugstore brands to report back as well!
Hair texture sprays are great for multiple uses. It functions as a dry shampoo, volumizer, and texturizer that you can spray from roots to ends. Most texture sprays also have UV filters to help shield hair from the dulling effects of sun damage.
You can also use a texture spray before or after curling your hair. I tend to use my texture spray before curling. My hair is very sleek, and will not hold curls very well unless it feels gritty and dirty- which is where a texture spray comes into play. You can also use a texture spray for a soft hold and extra volume after curling your hair too!
With all this said, if you do not have a texture spray yet, then girrrrrl, why are you living under a rock?! I promise it will change your hair game!
Let’s break down my top 5 favorite hair texture sprays;

5 of My Favorite Hair Texture Sprays
Direct Flight Multi-Tasking Dry Shampoo
Okay, so this is actually more like a dry shampoo, BUT, I don’t use it as a dry shampoo, but instead a hair texture spray. I feel like for my hair this does a MUCH better job with volume and texture than a dry shampoo. Bonus points because this does also offer heat protection for your hair. It’s also free of sulfates, parabens, formaldehyde, vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.
VIP Texturing Hair Spray
I am a HUGE fan of Kerastase all around; I have yet to try a product I do not like from this brand (their shampoos and conditioners are INCREDIBLE). With that said, this hair texture spray is probably one of my favorites. I also love how it has a very light feel, but still does the job well done. It’s suitable for all hair types, and instantly gives you body and volume!
Pebble Beach Dry Texture Spray
(use code: UPTOWN for 30% off!) // Navy Hair care is a newish brand, but man are their products good (love their shampoo too). The Pebble Beach Dry Texture Spray gives you fullness, body, and texture. It’s powered by sunflower seed oil to prevent breakage and keep your hair healthy. It’s also free of sulfates, parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, and petrolatum.
Air Magic Texturizing Spray
Volaire is part texturizing spray, and part sheer hold spray with oil-absorbing properties to refresh and extend your style. This is another do it all spray and smells so good! Volaire is also sulfate free, paraben free and safe for color treated hair.
Dry Texturizing Spray
First, this texture spray smells fantastic. This is my number #1 texture spray; the only downside is… it’s costly. This dry spray also uses patented polymers to absorb oil at the roots, so it kind of doubles up as a dry shampoo giving you texture AND volume. It’s paraben-free; sodium chloride-free, and suitable for ALL hair types.
Thank you so much for stopping by, have a great day!
