High waisted Trousers X The Limited

Well hello there again!

Today I am teaming up with The Limited to show you how to wear high waisted trousers to work. This casual business look brings back so many memories of when I used to work. I LOVED casual Thursdays and Fridays (I was lucky and we could wear denim two days a week). I think I loved wearing jeans to work because it just meant I was closer to the weekend. Ha!

Now I have mentioned before that I was lucky to have a very laid back work environment, but I am fully aware that not all offices are the same. But I do know that we can still rock the denim look to work and still look professional! So how do we wear denim to work?

1. Try High waisted trousers. Not only do high waisted trousers make your legs look longer, but they are also great for work because they aren’t skin tight. The high waist looks great with a shirt tucked in as well, classy and fabulous!
2. Opt for dark denim jeans. Dark denim not only goes with everything, it just looks better and more professional. Avoid anything in either acid or distressed wash. Leave the holy (haha get it?!) jeans for the weekend.
3. Keep it clean. Keep your look clean that is. Avoid anything too flashy or too much skin! For this look I went with a structured vest, but the cinched belt makes the overall look less frumpy and more lady like. I did opt for fun leopards shoes, but we all know leopard is a neutral. I also kept my accessories clean and minimal. You don’t want to be that girl with loud jewelry coming down the hall.
