How To Find Motivation

This post is sponsored by Specialty Retailers, Inc. However, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this year Stage is turning October into Pink October. And I get to team up with Stage to share my #IPINKICAN moment and how to find motivation in the everyday.

Motherhood or life, in general, can sometimes take the best of us. Things don’t go to plan, we don’t get what we want, and when it rain… it pours. The day to day mundane can become exhausting, and make you wanna tap out.

I know it’s easy to get caught up in the social media realm and think everyone’s life is picture perfect, but it’s not. We all have good days, and we all have our bad days.

But, bad days don’t define us. They don’t define who you are as a mother, as a wife, or as a friend.

Let’s talk about how to find the motivation, in the good, bad and mundane days.

How to find the motivation:
Don’t do it alone. I list this as the number one because I think it’s the most important thing. Know when to ask and most importantly receive help. It’s okay to ask for help, and you DO NOT have to do it alone.

How to find the motivation:
Know your strengths and weaknesses. Focus on what you’re good at it, and again- get help with what you’re not good or great at.

How to find the motivation:
Write it down, know your why! Why is it that you’re doing what you’re doing. Write it down on the mirror, set a reminder every morning before you wake up. When you hit a slump, remember you’re why!

How to find the motivation:
Change it up. You know what the definition of insanity is? It’s doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Sometimes changing a thing or two may solve an issue or make things easier for you.

How to find the motivation:
Know when to stop. I think as mothers, and women, we tend to do it all, be it all. I stumbled on a quote a long time ago, and it read “You can do anything, but not everything.” Know when to take a day of rest. Know when to shut off and to recharge your battery. You can’t drive on an empty tank, the same goes for you.

How to find the motivation:
Give back. I promise, there is nothing more uplifting then taking the time to serve and to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Find what you are passionate about and help or donate your time/money to that.

Speaking of giving, you can be a part of something bigger than yourself this month with Stage. How can you get involved and give back? Stage will have various events and opportunities to take part, including sales of “Pink” items with 50% of the purchase price from the sales of these items going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Also, during October, for every #ipinkican moment (when you share using the hashtag on Facebook or Instagram), Stage will donate $1.00 to support Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Find out more information about Pink October at Stage.com/IPINKICAN.

Thank you so much for stopping by, have a great day!

xoxo,

Thank you for the tips, Elly! I find that having a partner to encourage you is the best. Accountability really, really helps me, personally! 🙂
