It’s funny because today, I’m the one who needs this how to stay motivated blog post more than anyone. I have sat at my desk for close to three hours (no joke) just staring at my screen. The lack of motivation I have currently at 33 weeks pregnant is at an all-time low.
You may not be pregnant like me, but I think we all go through hard seasons in life where pushing through is just hard. There is zero motivation; there is zero drive. But, life goes on. We have to keep moving and going, so what the heck do you do?
Today, as I put my own words into practice, here are my tips and what I do on how to stay motivated.
Take A Break.
Sometimes taking a break is the best thing you can do when you’re feeling unmotivated. Often we think if we keep pushing, or just keep going, things will get better. My #1 one tip when staying motivated is learning to stop and take breaks. Know when to rest!
Get Active.
Get your blood pumping! Being active not only gives you more energy but can improve your brain function and your thinking skills. Even a brisk 30-minute walk can do wonders for your mind!
Do One Thing That Makes You Happy.
We all have one thing that makes us happy. It may be working out, drawing a warm bath, or reading a book. Whatever that is, do more of that! Especially if you’re a mom. It’s okay to be selfish and do something for yourself!
Write Down Your Goals.
If you don’t have a vision board, now is the time to get one. What are your dreams, what are your goals? Where do you want to be 5 years from now? Write those down and have it in a place where you can see it daily.
Then Remember Why You Started.
Once you have your vision board complete, know your why and how! Why do you want to be debt-free, and how are you going to become debt-free? Why do you want to start that small business and how are you going to start? Knowing your how and why you started will help you remember when things get rough… because believe me, things will get hard.
