Spring has sprung, and I know I can’t be the only one itching for warmer weather, afternoon swims, and ALL the spring fashion. Give me all the spring colors, floral dresses, and linen fabric. Although much of that is also summer, I’m just ready to hang up the thick heavy coats, sweaters, and boots. But how do you transition from one season to the next when you’re still getting chilly mornings but warm afternoons? Today we are going to be talking about how to transition your outfits into spring…
I know most of the US is still getting snow (so sorry if that is you ?). We reached a low 90s today in HTX. I say that to say you may have to do some tweaking with some of the suggestions below when it comes to transitioning your outfits for spring, but the formula will be the same.
layers
The easiest way how to transition your outfits for spring is layering. Whether you are going from winter into spring or summer into fall. But in this case, think light layers. Trench coats, linen blazers, cardigans, etc. Think about the chilly mornings, so you’re going to want thin, light layers. Because come to the end of the day, you’re going to end up removing them!
add floral
Floral for spring, groundbreaking, right?! But it’s a given if you ask me. You can easily add florals not only to your clothing items but to your accessories too!
add color
Not that you can’t wear color all year round, but there’s always a shift with different seasons. Adding colors to your outfit is an easy way to freshen up your OOTDs and transition into spring. But try adding softer colors like your lilac or blues. You’re seeing a lot of green currently, so even if you want to add bold colors, you can do that too!
change textile
Finally, another way to transition into spring is by changing your textiles/fabrics. When you think of Fall and Winter, you think velvet, wool, and corduroy. But when it comes to Spring and Summer, fabrics like linen, crochet, and seersucker. But don’t forget your accessories too! You can always update your look by adding a rattan bag, or even raffia sandals.
I really hope this helps you with how to transition your outfits for spring this season. If you have any questions feel free to message me on IG. Thank you so much for stopping by!
