How To Update Your Master Bedroom For Fall and Winter

It’s that time of the year again! Fall and Winter along with the holiday season is my favorite season BY FAR. I love switching out the decor in my home and adding all things pumpkins, velvet, and all the cozy throws. This past week I updated our master bedroom, and today I wanted to talk with you on how to update your master bedroom for fall and winter.

Let’s begin…

How to Update Your Master Bedroom for Fall and Winter:

– Let’s start with the basics. It is recommended for you to flip or rotate your mattress every three months.
– Make sure you are protecting your mattress! I can’t stress this enough! No point to spend all that money on a mattress and not protect it, right?!
– Update your sheets! If you haven’t invested in quality sheets, now is the time to get some. After going through several different types of sheets myself and learning the hard way, you want to aim for a thread count between 200-800.

How to Update Your Master Bedroom for Fall and Winter:

– Add warm colors. Think foliage, but for your bedroom. It may sound silly, but think about how pretty foliage looks in the fall. Think warm oranges and tans. If you want to stick to a neutral palette, colors like grey, sage, and bluff are beautiful!
– Add texture. Think about what feels warm and inviting. Cozy up in your bed a little bit longer by adding textures like velvet, corduroy, knits, and maybe even some soft faux fur.
– Add layers. just like we add layers in our outfits, think the same for your bedding. Bring on all the pillows, blankets and throws. The more, the merrier!
– Add Patterns. During the Spring and Summer, nothing says crisp and clean like white bedding. But for the fall and winter, I love playing with print. It’s a fun way to change things up and maybe the easiest way to do so too!
