It’s the greatest debate of all time, which leggings are better? Lululemon or Zella?! Okay, maybe it’s not really the greatest debate, but today I’m breaking down which legging I like better and why. Keep reading for more…

The Great Debate, Lulu Legging?
Let’s break down the Lululemon AKA Lulu legging first. I own the Align Crop (which is one of their best selling leggings) in 21”. Their Align legging comes in different lengths (19″, 21″, 25″, 28″). The Align legging is designed for yoga, buttery-soft, sweat-wicking fabric and has a four-way stretch.

Added Lycra fibre for stretch and shape retention, it has a comfortable waistband (that has storage to hold key or card). The Aligns are high-rise and genuinely do have a “Naked Sensation” that Lulu claims.

The downfall? It’s a whopping $88.00 dollars.

^^ the BIGGEST difference for me, and that makes me love my Lulu over Zella is the stitching (or lack of) around the waistband. Notice that the Zella leggings have stitches around the waistband, that makes it uncomfortable for me. The Lulu does not! Which side note: if you are pregnant the Lulu legging is a MUST because the waistband leaves room for growth.

The Great Debate, Zella Legging?
Zella leggings are significantly cheaper (these Live in Lite crop are $52.00) and are veeeery comfortable. Zella leggings are cut from stretchy, moisture-wicking Zeltek fabric and feature a wide smoothing waistband and minimalist styling.

Moisture-wicking Zeltek fabric dries quickly to keep you cool and comfortable. The Zella leggings are 77% polyester, 23% spandex.

My overall thoughts:
The Zella legging does have more of a compressed fit, which may be a bit better to work out in. But the stitching on the waistband is a deal breaker for me. If I had to choose one, I would choose the Align leggings hands down, even to work out in. I also like how high waisted the Lulu legging is.

Also, the hubs like the Align crop on me, so Align crop it is. It may be just me too, but I feel like the Align legging is stitched better to make your booty look good. And I am ALLLLL for that.

Have you tried the Align or Zella leggings? Which one do you like better? Comment below!

Love this post thanks! I don’t have a pair of Lulu’s but I do have the Zella’s.. Could you share what length & color you purchased?! I guess I’ll finally have to cave in because they look great on you and they look soo comfortable! P.s. The hubby’s comment-too funny!

Align crop prob isn’t the best for higher impact type workouts, so there are def so many great options if you need more compression. This is our second skin, barely there option, which is intended to feel like you’re literally wearing nothing. I’m slightly obsessed, as I own 10 pairs of them. For anything outside of a Pilates or yoga studio, I wear a luxtreme or Nulux option ❤️

Just wanted I needed right now! I’ve been debating which pair to invest in. I tried on Zella and loved the look but wasn’t sold on the comfort either! Going to have to try on those Lulu leggings!

Zella all the way! Wearing them right now 🙂
