My Story

Founded in 2014, Uptown was born to encourage and uplift women from all walks of life. I’ve always loved fashion and beauty, and after just having my second son, I knew I wanted to find a way to share my love for finding cute heels on the internet with other women who loved a shoe dazzle find (who remembers shoe dazzle)?!

I was born in Brazil, but I now call Houston home. I’m a mom of four and have been married for over 15 years. My faith plays a huge role in my everyday life. I love everything pretty and pink, and as a proud Latina, I’m often a bit spicy and occasionally just a little extra.

Uptown started as a side passion for fashion and style and has grown into this beautiful journey as a personal stylist. I’ve always said I wanted to be a designer—just one who can’t draw. Over the years, as I’ve built Uptown and had all the babies, I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with amazing brands like Bloomingdale ' s, Nordstrom, and Iconic London and built an incredible community online! Ten years later, I’m doing what I truly believe I was meant to do: helping women look and feel good.

Style is more than just what you wear—it' s about how you wear it and how it makes you feel. Clothes aren’t simply “just clothes”; they have the power to tell your story without a single word. As a mom, I understand that we often put ourselves last—the last ones to get ready, the last to be thought of. I’m here to change that.

Because when you look good, you feel good; when you feel good, you do good. Clothing isn’t just fabric—it has the power to transform how you move, and how you carry yourself. I want to empower women to discover themselves and express who they are!
