Hey guys!!!! Happy Humpy Day!
I’m latina, and latina’s are known for their passion….in everything. But really I would say I am most passionate about marriage. I got married at the age of 18 (technically it was a month before I turned 19, so I was basically 19!) So, yes that makes me 26 and I have been married for 7 years and two little kiddos. If you ask any of my friends growing up, or my family they would tell you that I was made to be married and a mother. My hearts desire was to be a mama and have a husband. God is good y’all, I always prayed for a blonde hubby with blue eyes, a man who played sports, and who was God-fearing (just to name a few that was on my list). Where am I going with all this?
Hope City is going through a Detox series and last weekend Pastor Jeremy Foster talking about how we all know that we are our own worst critic. He talked about your Spirit which is God-conscious, your Soul is self-conscious, and your Body is earth-conscious. Everything in this life is a sum of the choices YOU make. Far to many times we can complain about what others are doing, and how others discouraged us, but let’s be real…nobody but YOU made you eat that piece of cake. Right?
Today I wanted to leave off with encouraging all my wifey’s out there to create a peaceful culture in your marriage. I know first hand that it is so easy to blame what our spouse is doing or not doing. But while we are pointing our fingers at them, we forget we have three fingers pointing right back at us. You are the most toxic person you know, you can set the tone for your marriage and ether make it a peaceful one, or make it hell. And although sometimes I wish I can control my husbands choices, I know I can only control mine!

Love this. I was married at 19 we are celebrating our 7 yrs this July. We have 2 boys and a 3rd on the way. I can agree. I was born to be a wife and a mom!
