Easy & Fun Poolside Hairstyles

Come summertime, I am ALWAYS at the pool with the kids. If it’s not raining, we are outside at the pool, but technically, we were outside the other day while it was raining. Soooo… I’m always at the pool, basically. It’s great that I get to work on my tan, but that chlorine water can take a toll on my hair. So I try to get creative with my poolside hairstyles to make it fun!

Sunscreen combined with pool water and the sun can take a serious toll on your hair; maybe that’s another blog post in the future (share my tips and tricks to keep your hair healthy). But again, I try to do my best with different styles and accessories with my hair to keep it out of the water as much as possible and away from my face during the summer.

So here are a few easy and simple poolside hairstyles to try to keep your hair healthy while still looking cute!

Slicked back poolside hair style ides

^^ A slick back look but with some oil! Hair oil is the BEST way to achieve this look. Find the tutorial to this look here.

Low bun paired with a hat to complete this pool side hair style

There is nothing wrong with a bun poolside, and honestly, it is probably my go-to poolside hairstyle… but let’s dress that bun up a little. The easiest way to do that is to make it a low bun and throw a hat on. The hat seen above is one of my all-time favorites. I’ve had this hat for years, and is still in great shape!

Another low bun, but this time add a hair scarf to make it cute! You can match your scarf to your swimsuit, or your coverup, lots of different options here!

Fun bubble braids make for a great summer hair style.

Bubbles braids are a great look if you’re not good with braids but what the same kind of look! You can create a half-up half-down look like the one above or continue it all the way down if you have long hair. Find the tutorial here

A Dutch braid can be SO cute and fun for a poolside hairstyle! Make itchunky” by pulling the braid and then tying the bottom half of the hair in a messy bun! You can even add some jewels to make it fancy.
