Here are four categories I would suggest splurging in;

Shoes– Quality boots, sandals, and flats. Go for your basics like a pair of black ballet flats, or theNudistsong heel (I bought my first pair a few months ago, and it is worth every penny! Very comfortable!).

Bags– Avoid anything that is too trendy, again for something that you can get the most out of your money. Look for your work totes (something big enough to fit your laptop or Ipad), A crossbody bag that can double up as a shoulder bag, and finally a clutch.

Denim– GOOD denim will last you years! Invest in a high waisted one, dark skinny jeans that can be worn with boots, a boyfriend jean, and a wide trouser jean.

Jackets– Your closet should have four different kinds of jackets. A trench coat, blazer, denim jacket, and a leather jacket. If you have these 4, you do not need anything else.
