The Woodlands Hills & Future Home Inspiration

We are officially (yet not officially) looking for a new home. I say both because we know we want to move sometime next year, we are just taking our time and evaluating all our options. You see, we’re looking for our forever home, and with a forever home comes a lot of expectations. We want land, a big kitchen, a pool, a big closet (well, I want that), and the list goes on. I got to tour The Woodlands Hill here in Texas, and I want to share with you more!

Houston lifestyle blogger Uptown with Elly Brown shares more about The Woodlands Hill community, and why it's a great community to live in!

I’ve mentioned a few times over on IG that looking for your forever home is a process. You see, here in Houston, you have a lot of new subdivisions, so there are a lot of new homes  to choose from, but in many cases, these new subdivisions cut down all the trees and don’t have parks or playgrounds for the kids. AND to top it off, the HOA fees are ridiculous for the little that you do have.

Older homes have great bones to the house, but they ALL need remodeling. And I am talking about homes that were built in the 1930s and have the same wallpaper since the original owners moved in.

This is where The Woodlands Hills comes in. I was able to visit this master-planned community near Houston and check out what it has to offer a couple of weeks ago. Guys, this is the community of all communities. AND they keep their trees; I say that because one, the trees around the homes give you more privacy, and two, it makes the community more natural and homier (if that makes sense?).

Just 15 minutes north of The Woodlands, The Woodlands Hills sits on 2,000+ acres and will have 112 acres of open space (BUT WITH TREES). This community was designed to bring, and grow, people together.

^^ THIS KITCHEN. The Island made into a table is GENIUS and space saving!

The Woodlands Hills development just had its grand opening in summer 2018. New homes in The Woodlands Hills are now selling from the $240s to $500s (you can find your dream home by searching here). The Woodlands Hills is also developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation, the developer of The Woodlands. If you are familiar with The Woodlands, it makes sense. They do things VERY well in The Woodlands.

The community will have 20 neighborhood parks, an extensive amount of trails for hiking and biking (so, PLENTY of activities to keep the kiddos busy). There will also be an activity center with an event space, a fitness facility, and a resort pool (hello summer!). They even have a dog park for our fur babies!

^^ I never knew I wanted a wine cellar… until now.

^^ this tub, I’m an old school gal, and I looooove my baths.

All these pictures you see here are things I am personally saving and looking for in our new home. I never knew I wanted a wine cellar until I saw this one in the model home by Westin Homes! Actually, can I move into this model home?! This house is all the #goals.

Comment below, what is your favorite part of this house?! Thank you so much for stopping by, have a great day!

xoxo,
