I can’t believe it has been over a month since our vacation! Someone take me back.. please!! Before July, it had been 4 years since our vacation, and my gosh it was so over due. The vacation was so needed and we all had such a good time. I really can not wait until we go back.
This year we drove to Florida, I gotta admit the drive up there was horrible. It took us over 13 hours, there were 4 accidents and so much traffic. Thankfully on the way back we made it in 9 hours! The resort was very busy the weekend before 4th of July, which did result to horrible parking and lots of people, but once 4th of July was over (like July 5th) it was back to normal and actually really quiet!
The hotel we stayed at was the Sandestin Resort in Florida, and hands down, it was amazing. Inside the resort they have different villages, and homes to stay in (it was like a whole community!). We actually didn’t leave the resort much at all. Our day normally consisted in ether being at the pool or the beach. Colin had a hard time at the beach so we really stayed at the pool most of the time.
Nap time is where we struggled, the boys didn’t want to go down at all, so there were days where we would just drive around for the boys to nap in the car. We did do some shopping, and ate lots of ice cream. One night we did go to the Melting Pot (it was the boys first time) for desert, and gosh the boys loved dipping the fruit in the chocolate! Can you blame them? But as far as leaving the resort that was pretty much the only time we left.
All in all we loved the resort, the staff was friendly and the resort was very well maintained. We really enjoyed the full kitchen in our hotel room. We were able to cook most of our meals which was nice because we were able to actually save a lot (and the hubby LOVED that!!). They also had everything you would need to cook with. Pots, pans, cups, plates and more. You name it, they had it. It was a real treat! The room also had a washer and dryer, so I was also able to do all the laundry our last day there so I didn’t have to do it when I got home, because the one thing I hate most is unpacking AND having to do laundry. #nightmare.
Jordan and I both agreed that this was going to be our annual spot. We had so much fun, and the boys loved it! We can’t wait to go back next year!
Thank you Jesus for headphones and Leap Frogs! It was the only way we made it through a 13 hour drive!
I found myself a coconut and I brought him everywhere, I also brought him home with me! Haha!!
For whatever reason, this reminds me so much of the vacations I took when I was a child. I see the boys and I just see myself.
But first… a family #selfie
Jadyn and Colin loved riding the bikes everyday! It was a highlight for everyone!
LOVE this romper from Fancy Free.
Colin refused to touch the sand. He HATED it. This was the only way he wouldn’t cry.
Told ya I brought my coconut with me everywhere! 🙂 Dress is from Ruthie Grace.
Jadyn LOVED the fireworks, Colin did not like it at all. Jordan held him the entire time and Colin would cry and cry. Jadyn on the other hand was on cloud 9.
Both Jordan’s and my favorite memory were riding the bikes. The ride not only was a workout, but being outdoors was great. Dress is from The Trellis Shop

We did have an outlet mall close to the resort, so you know I did some shopping! We got the boys new shoes (similar) to match their new watches and shirts! (Jadyn’s shirt and watch, Colin’s shirt and watch)
Jadyn officially loves watermelon now. A special thank you to Whole foods who gave us lunch in a cooler! That was such a special treat!
Guys, this is the only family picture we got! We had so much fun and so many special memories were made. We can’t wait to go back to the Sandestin Resort next year!
See ya next time Sandestin!
