Let’s talk about vitamins and supplements for women today. I have to admit I was HORRIBLE with vitamins up until I had Audrey. The only time I ever took my vitamins consistently was when I was pregnant because I wanted to make sure the baby was healthy. But good grief, I hate swallowing those chunky and horrible tasting pills. Once I had Audrey and hit the big 30, I thought, Okay… I need to make sure I am fueling my body right; I’m not getting any younger! I also don’t eat correctly every day, so I need all the help I can get.
Before we dive into everything I take, I want to make a few things loud and clear. One, I am not a doctor, so please consult with your doctor about what you should be taking! Two, what works for me, may not work for you. Your health, and what you need will be completely different than mine.
As I mentioned, I am not good at swallowing pills, and if they have a strong taste or smell, it’s torture for me. I, at one point, had to take gummy vitamins because I could not swallow pills. This leads me to my first find, and I will not go back…
All the Daily Vitamins & Supplements I take
I will never go back to regular vitamins. These are a game-changer! Ritual recently, by the way, launched men’s multivitamin (already ordered JB some). But they also have pre-natal, and for women over 50. Ritual is a delayed capsule, vegan and gluten-free. NON-GMO, has the essential 9. Highly recommend reading more on their vitamins here and here.
Vital Proteins is known for its collagen and has several supplements for different needs. I like taking this one to help with hair, skin, and nails. Beauty Boost is plant-based & Whole30 Approved. Gluten & dairy-free too! I’ll admit, this is a hard one to swallow, but I will normally take this with juice to help #keepingitreal.
One more from Vital, because I do like their products all around! One scoop mixed well with water; I will typically drink this early AM before coffee. 10g of collagen sourced from the hide of grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle. 120mg of Hyaluronic Acid and helps to support skin hydration and healthy joints. Also plant-based, Whole30 Approved. Gluten and dairy-free. They have different flavors too!
Could not live without my CBD. I have mentioned it over on my social and blog before. But I love my CBD. I was very skeptical at first, but it’s amazing. The daily drops help increase a sense of calm and balance in the face of day-to-day stress, and helps me sleep SO much better at night! I take my drops in the AM after breakfast. Equilibria is Non-GMO, Vegan, and gluten-free as well as organic!
Perfect for all-day balance and works well with the daily drops. But, the daily soft gels are a slow-release product for long-lasting effects. I take these with dinner at night for a good nights rest. It’s also important to note that you have to take these daily to see results. One-off here and there will not work, believe me I’ve tried.
Seed is actually a new prebiotic & probiotic I have been taking. I will come back and update this post accordingly. But you should be taking a pre and probiotic! The Daily Synbiotic from Seed is formulated with probiotic strains that have been clinically-studied to provide benefits in gastrointestinal function, skin health, heart health, gut immune function, gut barrier integrity, and micronutrient synthesis. I wanted to share them because they have TONS, and I mean TONS of information, highly recommend watching their stories to learn more. Warning; it is A LOT of information.
Not pictured, because I ran out, but I use YL oils around here and everyone in the house takes Ningxia-Red. We take a shot of daily. Young Living NingXia Red benefits include support for energy levels, normal cellular function, and whole-body and normal eye health. A daily shot of 2–4 ounces helps support overall wellness with powerful antioxidants.
Also not pictured, but another one the whole family takes daily! Elderberry offers immune support with LOADS of antioxidants. The berries and flowers of elderberry are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that can boost your immune system. Helping tame inflammation. Some recommend taking to help with cold and flu symptoms as well!
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you learned something new today. I would love to hear from you too, what kind of vitamins and supplements for women do you take? Have you tried any of the above before?
Thanks again for stopping by, have a great day!
