A few weekends ago I got to see my girls for a quick girls weekend trip to Visit Phoenix. My stay was a whole lot shorter than theirs, but it was just enough to experience Scottsdale, Arizona and everything (well maybe not everything) it has to offer. Let me start off by saying, I want to go back. But next time, I need to stay longer!
Weekend Getaway to Scottsdale, WHERE WE STAYED:
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch isn’t just for a GNO, but great for families too! The resort is about 30 minutes from the airport, so it’s not a bad drive at all. But let me tell you, pictures for this place does not do it justice. This resort is beeeeeeaaautiful. Some of the amenities at the resort are;
- 2.5-acre water park featuring ten swimming pools, white sand beach, three-story waterslide, whirlpool spa and two poolside bars.
- They have eight on-site restaurants and bars, serving fresh Southwestern cuisine, poolside café and cocktails, traditional Italian food and steaks, and live music.
- 27 holes of championship golf at the Gainey Ranch Golf Club, four lighted tennis courts, and jogging and bicycling trails with available on-site bicycles.
Note: The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is a resort, once you are there, there is no need to leave. Honestly, you won’t want to leave.?
^^ this was our room view!!
Weekend Getaway to Scottsdale, WHAT WE DID:
Saturday we got to enjoy the Spa Avania for most of the day. Again, it was amazing! They have a separate pool/relaxation area just for those who use the spa. (pictured above) Our spa day was included with Salt Room experience, followed by an hour-long massage. It. was. heaven. HIGHLY recommend experiencing the spa!
^^ the salt room. So you see the fine white powder on the floor? That’s the sand that mists all over the room while you are in there. It’s not like a sandstorm, you don’t even notice the salt flying around. Our session was 30 minutes long. Read more about benefits and why it’s good for you here.
Weekend Getaway to Scottsdale, WHAT WE ATE:
Friday night we went to a restaurant called The Vig at McCormick Ranch. The food and the drinks were SO good. The cheese and meat board, fantastic. My burger was even better! It was a great place to kick our girls weekend trip.
Saturday Night we ate at the Hyatt Wine me, Dine me
This was a four-course meal, and oh. my. gosh. All of it, every course got better, and better. Chef Juan nailed every plate. We got to sit right at the bar and see a behind the scenes on how the meals are prepped. We had scallops, salad, halibut (my favorite course), and cake. To top it off we got to taste a special Patron Reposado tequila made exclusively for the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch.
To wrap up our girls trip, Sunday we threw Bethanie a baby shower at Postino. This is Bethanie’s favorite restaurant and they are known for their colorful bruschetta boards built for sharing. And let me tell ya, they delivered.
The baby shower small and intimate just how Bethanie wanted it to be. We celebrated Baby Bronx that is due this summer and got to meet her sweet family and close friends. We also thought it would be fun to all dress in white, so, you’ll see below, we are all in white.
Have you been to Arizona yet? Any other recommendations? Leave them below! Thank you so much for stopping by, have a great day!
