Why You Need a Trench Coat

Guys, we are ALMOST done with the house renovations. ALMOST. So close but so far! All the major projects are over, at least for a few weeks. Now all that is left is the small projects like changing the light fixtures and small touch-ups.

I shot this look a while back (hence my short hair). But I still wanted to share this work look for all my working gals! This look is work approved and best of all it’s chic. I sure do miss dressing up for work. I, however, don’t miss the traffic early mornings and evenings. But if you’re in Houston you know that traffic is pretty much always.

Several months ago I posted a look similar to this look with the same top and trench coat. It’s safe to say that every woman needs a trench coat in her closet. It’s classic and timeless! Thankfully there are plenty of different options out there to choose from when it comes to trench coats.

So, why do we need a trench coat?

1. It’s versatile. Dress it up like I did here or wear it with a tee and jeans. If you’re feeling bold, you can even wear it with a short denim on denim look. A trench coat will instantly elevate your look.
2. It can be worn all year round. Which makes it a little easier on the wallet to splurge on a good quality trench coat.
3. You have different colors to choose from. Next on my list to get is a black trench coat. It’s like the original trench’s coat sister, but with a bit more edge (did really just I go there?!). Haha!
