It almost feels bittersweet sharing one of my last looks/shoot from Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is I place I want to go back and visit soon. I was captivated by the beach and surrounding mountains. Santa Barbara is BEAUTIFUL.
I brought this Zara pleated blouse with me and wore to the work conference I was at while in Santa Barbara. I love anything from Zara, but this top… it’s all the feels! I only wish I didn’t have to keep tugging on it for my bra not to show (it’s a bit low cut), but the pleated sleeves and hem got me. It also comes in black and burgundy (totally grabbing the burgundy one for the holidays)!
I paired this Zara pleated blouse with leggings, and although the pants I am wearing are leggings, they don’t look like leggings! You can get away with wearing leggings like this to the office with a pleated blouse like this and nobody will ever know!
Moving on…
I noticed I never really shared my life history, many of you may not care, but I figured in hopes of you getting to know me better, I thought it would be fun to share where I’ve lived, and where I’ve been.

WHERE I WAS BORN
I was born in Brasil, Joinville Santa Catarina to be exact. An exciting and slightly crazy story, my mom flew 8+ months while pregnant with me, TO BRASIL… 2 weeks later she had me. I still think she’s crazy for doing that.
WHERE I GREW UP
When I was four, we moved to the US. I lived in New York for a short time and then moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut. We lived in CT for eight years. My sister and her family are actually in Stamford, CT where they moved to start a church. So if you’re in CT make sure to check out Connect Community. You’ll love them, promise!
WHERE I GREW UP PT. 2
After eight years in CT, my sister moves to Brasil, and my parents follow. So we head back to Joinville and live there for about two years. Side note; the moving back and forth was a tough transition for me. Not something I would EVER recommend with a kid my age. I had to retake 7th grade and was almost done with 8th grade when…
WHERE I GREW UP PT. 3
My parents decide to move back to the US (which I then had to restart 8th grade all over) and this time to someplace a lot warmer. Fast forward, here we are 15 (almost 16!) years later, still in Houston, Texas. I meet Jordan here (read more of our story here), got married here, and gave birth to all our babies here in H-town. Meanwhile, if you’re wondering, Jordan was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
I always wonder where the road will take us, and if we will stay in Houston. To be honest, I would probably love to move someplace where I could experience all four seasons, but JB loves Houston, and I don’t foresee us moving anytime soon. But, you never know what the future holds. To be continued I guess, LOL!

Thank you dear!
Love this!! I’ve moved around quite a bit myself growing up, so I can definitely relate to the ups and downs of it (never out of the country though). I’m in Louisville, Kentucky currently, along with my husband’s family, so I don’t think we’ll be moving anytime soon either. Thanks so much for sharing, I love getting to know you more!
even moving across town can be hard, especially on kids! Do you at least like Kentucky, LOL!
I always care about your story :). I love this and I love you BEAUTIFUL!!
Nice to hear about where you grew up. I’ve never been to Brazil but it looks nice to visit, especially the beaches! 🙂 I also moved around as a child, I was born in Swaziland and also loved in Lesotho (both Southern Africa), then lived in Fiji when I was a bit older. Lived in England in between. My dad who was Cameroonian) was teaching at universities in those countries. My mum is English and we came back to the UK when I was 4.
Have a great day too. 🙂
