Fall closet staple items & why you need them
Happy Hump day friend!
What a day it was has been! I have my sweet sister and her family coming in town and I have been prepping like a maniac making sure everything is ready for them to get here! They will be staying with us for a week. Guys, we will have 5 kids in this house, 5!!! Oh, I can't wait to see what that will be like- don't worry I am fully prepped with lots of wine, ha!
Lets jump right into Fall closet staples. We are supposed to be (fingers crossed) getting cooler temps next week here in Houston and what better way to celebrate cooler temps then to talk about 4 fall closet staples items you need and why!
1. A wool hat. Not only are hats good for those bad hair days, but they elevate any look to make it chic. Can you imagine what my outfit would look like with out my wool hat? It would still like good but, a hat always completes the look. I have a wool hat in black, red, green, and in tan. #noshame
2. Over the Knee boots. If you have not already gotten a pair of over the knee boots, then it's time for you to get one. I love my OTK boots with a dress or even paired with leggings. I snagged the ones I am wearing at the #Nsale this year and I am SO excited to be wearing them.
3. Anything Velvet. Oh how I am madly in love with velvet this season. From boots to full on menswear inspired suits, velvet is HOT this season. I just got my first velvet boots (under $100!) and now I am on the hunt for a velvet blazer.
4. A statement bag. It can be a fun print like mine here, an embellished bag, or just any fun bag. I'm drooling over the Miu Miu and the new #custoMIUzation, I don't want to think about how much it costs, I just know I want one... a girl can wish right? A fun statement bag is always great to have, just like a hat it elevates your look instantly!
