I have dreamed of this space for a couple of months now! And I couldn’t be happier with how the foyer turned out. Finally, the vision came to life, and I am beyond excited. Our foyer is quite big, and I looked ALL over the WWW for foyer design ideas and finally found what I wanted the space to look like.
I drew inspiration from Rachel Parcell and her entryway. Her entryway looks similar to mine, and how the staircase curves. My biggest hurdle was finding a way to fill the space and not go overboard. I mean, I do have 4 kids and a dog, so I have to keep that in mind, and I am not a fan of clutter.
I love how this space turned out, the pictures do not do it justice. The wall looks like it’s always been this way, and it compliments the room and elevates the foyer all at the same time. I’m debating on if I should add a rug to the space or should I leave it as is. I also can’t decide if I want to get a new light fixture or leave the original one. What do you think?
My biggest challenge as I mentioned before with the new home is finding the balance in honoring the home and it’s traditional style while updating the rooms, but again, not losing it’s character.
I found this round table at a local furniture store and knew I needed a tall centerpiece to help fill the space. I looked ALL over and found this gorgeous orchid piece from Riverbend; this faux floral in person, yall, it’s just stunning! It also has a blue celestite geode in the middle, it’s just exquisite.
I added small decor items I found shopping while at home goods and hobby lobby, and I went to 1/2 priced books to find the table books. I added a bench for functionality and a small initial throw as well to complete the look.
The guys who did the wall did a fantastic job. The detail and how they made sure everything looked perfect. This wall really transformed the room if you ask me!
