We are nine days into 2019 and every year- (well I lie, for the last two years) I pick out a word for that year. Last year my word was courageous, to live boldly and unashamedly. To be courageous in everything I did, in motherhood, being a wife, and even as an individual.
This year, my word is simplicity. Not just for material and earthly possessions, but overall. Our schedule has been hectic and chaotic. Technically we don’t even have a schedule, everything is go, go, go. Places to be, people to see. Keep moving, keep going, gotta do this, gotta do that… that was exhausting just reading.
I need to simplify things. I have to tell myself no more often, and I need to learn to tell other people no too. Telling people no is a hard one for me, I’m a people pleaser and I care too much about what others think.
This year, this needs to change for the sake of me. I was talking to a friend earlier today, and you know when you’re so used to moving at lightning speed, that you don’t even know how to sit still anymore? You don’t know how to stop? I feel like that’s where I am.
Things have to drastically change, and things need to be simplified a lot more around here. I have no idea what that is going to look like, but once I do, I will let you know!

OUTFIT DETAILS:
I had forgotten about this outfit I shot a while back when I was visiting Santa Barbara, CA. It wasn’t until I was looking back at old blog post pictures and I came across this outfit. I instantly fell all over again this look, I LOVE how the jacket of the two piece set has the boss woman vibe.
Zara at the time had some GREAT two piece sets as apart of their basic collection. In my book, two piece sets are the easiest “pulled together” outfit. You don’t have to worry about matching, and you can create three different looks with the two pieces. FYI- both the lace top and lace pants I am wearing are on sale, and it also comes in 2 different colors! What are your thoughts on two piece sets? Hot or not?!

Thank you so much for stopping by, have a great day!
xoxo,

I personally love one-piece sets! They’re such perfect outfits for the lazy 😉 Really liking your jumpsuit too – the vertical stripes are beautiful! 😀

Thank you Charmaine! Can you believe this is actually a matching set though and not a jumpsuit?! 🙂
